are you using rubber gaitors on the cable ends....if so check they are not the cheap tacky semi hard ones

maybe im prizing the lid off a can of wriggly things here, :roll: but given the effort and time required to prepare scoots for a top paint job,not forgetting the skill required to lay the paint and airbrush the depths of the owners imagination onto the panels,and me being old skool anall !! my quest...

certainly does look lush :) and ive got to admit my earlier tip was a little on the knee jerk realm :roll: its just that over the years ive come across so many poor paint jobs,its almost instinct to reach for the 2000 and get a decent base surface having removed the orange peel ( not a pun :D ) brin...

depends on the amount of clearcoat u got
myself i use a minimum of 2000 wet/dry (soapy wet )
follow with fine 3M finesseit using soft cloth
finish with super fine hologram polish...works for me,use a very bright lamp to highlight
the spots requiring most work to save on the elbow grease
