I did David Blythes GPS challenge a few years ago and got 90.7 or something like that.

Re: tune a ts1 or get a 250 rb
My reduced big-end eye AF 62 did still need a fairly serious groove cut into the casing. Indeed, most of the 60mm items that I've tried still need a little out of the cases to stop them catching, even though I was told that they wouldn't need a groove. ^... Do not be too surprised if I canotact you ...

Re: tune a ts1 or get a 250 rb
Nice to hear that they now do a mono port version :) I think that this will go a long way to resolve some of the issues that the 22 and 25 had with the thin bridges of previous. I'd like to know more about the webs that they now have? I've got one of their old 62mm stroke web cranks in my Mugello, w...

Re: tune a ts1 or get a 250 rb
20+ years of tuning work in the UK resulted in the 2 most common tunes being MB's road tune, which machined the bottom off a TS1 cylinder, and Taffspeed's fitting of a 110mm con-rod, both of which allow the transfer timing to be reduced to give a wider power spread and better pulling power through t...

Re: Peak EGT Temperatures
^... but I don't like the common approach of reducing main jet size to clean up lower stages of throttle progression as it can then lead to a situation where the main cannot supply what the engine is demanding at full WOT. IMO a carb should be set so that each of the progression steps is correct, ra...

Re: Peak EGT Temperatures
I spent my time watching my EGT from home to Brittany and Belgium, then back home, and loving the feedback that it was giving me. I was thinking how it was very reliable and then all of a sudden it started giving extremely low readings, almost not reading on the scale. Then it occurred to me that it...

Re: Ron Moss - Avanti TT3 - Cylinder Kit - Review & Test....
It was a MEC Race crank, which had served me well already but showed no sign of wear or heat issues when I checked it over before fitting the Avanti, 1500 km earlier. However, picking up bits of big-end eye from between my feet in the layby makes me think that all was not well. Indeed, the way the b...

Re: Ron Moss - Avanti TT3 - Cylinder Kit - Review & Test....
I was/am very frustrated to have not been able to take mine because of a failed big end bearing on my crank, which went a week before setting off for Brittany + Belgium. What made it even more frustrating was that the plug colour, head colour and piston crown colour showed it all to be on the richer...
