Knowing Harry I can imagine what he said ! You won't go wrong with meteor and yes they make imola and falc pistons Scott at rayspeed had some good results with the cheap thin ring pistons in both indian cast and ali barrels - he tidied up the ports which when you looked at them they needed it. Give a 122 main-jet a try...
a skimmed up cylinder head will help all round too.

Another option also...
Try a 1mm base packer & 0.5mm head gasket.
1.5 - 2mm on head squish
Keeps it torquey & regains a decent top-end too
