check your oil seal retaining plate to see if it"s warped, aluminium ones are crap. have you lubed everything on assembly? somtimes a coating of clean two stroke makes everything ok. i never assemble an engine "dry". you could try two mag housing gaskets, but your better off trying to...

slightly off topic, but a mate had an indian stator and AFR light flywheel fitted, and his rev counter wouldnt work properly, swapped to a BGM stator, and BINGO! rev counter working properly!

may be crown wheel has excessive play on the bush/bearing...... oil thick when cold, no rattle,...... oil thins when hot, rattle rattle rattle! pull clutch in , straightens up crownwheel, no rattle. slip into gear at low revs, nice and crisp... give it a fistfull in 3rd, jumps out of gear...... does...

whats the problem? i run a AF light flywheel on my pacemaker..... but with an indian stator/T5 coils/piaggio pick up, and a ducati coil and bajaj 80 watt mini regulator, and all is well. i had to shave the bolts down to stop it rubbing, but apart from that, timed up lovely and no probs. iv"e he...

sell the chrome one, buy a normal one...... and spend the balance on drink!......RESULT! you"ll get more for your chrome one than the cost of a new indian side casing. iv"e just given one away to our club cutdown project, i would have happily swapped you otherwise!
