get yourself some of these (Stainless Steel, Flat Head, Splined Body Rivet Nuts threaded M4) , only £2.20 a pack, open up the old threaded hole in the headset to fit em nice n snug, araldite them in place to secure.....job done.

thebassmasta yes the panels are from GRP, just short of a 3 week turnaround from ordering, I think he's on here, deffo on face book

Had some time today to attempt to fit the mudguard...bit of a puzzle as I've never seen one in the nude! so to speak, anyway managed it gonna tack the locating ring to the forks when I get the damper brackets etc welded on. The GRP panels arrived today, I've offered them up against the frame and they fit...which is nice :-) really good finish on them. The bars (although not fitted/finished fully yet) will clear the panels. Just need some time to sort the forks out for the mudguard. The couple of areas that require fixi...

Here's my new project Series 1/2 (I have no idea what it is manufactured in 1959, can find anything of this era with these numbers....any how it has V5 so I'm happy) Going to be made up of a new TS1 225, 30mm carb, JL4 Snail Pipe that I have from my other scoot, standard GP200 gear box, 5 plate clut...
