Re: T5 Jetting Advice

I'm not sure if this will help but my T5 172 is running on a standard 24/24 with a scorpion exhaust. I've upjetted the main to a 125. I'd say a 125 or 128 main jet would be a good start for your set up, everything else as standard. I couldn't see a big box exhaust needing a bigger main than a scorpi...

Re: Padlocking Back Brake Pedal

I use an alarmed padlock on the brake pedal when I'm camping. It doesn't operate the back break completely but it makes a racket if disturbed.......

Re: Mugello 240 ??

Reading Coaster’s reply earlier in this thread reminded me of the nightmare of fitting the temp ring! I had mine fitted under the head nut furthest from the fan. Easyish when the engine was on the bench. Nightmare when I took the head off for a decoke! Couldn’t refit and had to file it bigger to fit...

Re: Mugello 240 ??

Another quick question, which I may already have missed comment on... I don't suppose that you're running an advance/retard ignition are you? I ask as this could also explain why the bike is running hot at running in revs in 4th but cools when you down-change and/or 'give it some (an advance/retard...

Re: Mugello 240 ??

I have no knowledge of mugellos but I do run a gt240 on a gt casing. Did you have your seizure problems while running in? I’ve 10000 ish miles on mine and it’s been great but without a temp guage I’d have blown it sky high during the break in miles! For the first 500 odd miles it ran very hot when t...

Re: Engine Cutting Out

That could be anything! I'd raise the tickover a bit by twisting the screw that points upwards on the top of the carb box. See if it helps. I bet thats your problem. If not, check that the ht lead hasn't loosened from the sparkplug cap or the cdi box. Change the sparkplug but check the colour of the...
