Just floating this and sorry if discussed on here previously. Does anyone have any factual documents they could post to confirm a 40 plus year old scooter is completely exempt from MOT now or, from my limited knowledge, whether the " Substantial Changes" catches everyone out....ie; Modifie...

TS1 225 Crankshaft........ideas
Hi all, just wanted some advice on where to get a decent crank for a TS 1 and is it worth upgrading. At present I have a 58/107 so wondered whether I could make it bigger, longer conrod without modifying the barrel ?

Its still out the bike i could pop to JB Tuning in the morning and see if they have a device to check it.........was thinking of maybe going for a 62 / 116 and pack it out etc. Does that interfere with the exhaust fitting ? I'm either going back with a JL3 or Version 3 BGM Clubman ...Thanks

Did a leak down test and two major air leaks....1. Was on inlet manifold, resolved with threebond sealant....2. Around the spark plug, resolved with hermitite red......then acceptable levels of pressure loss. Bearings do seem ok tbh, visually and under a tug, slight wave mark on the collar to the ma...

The only reason I'm thinking crank 'might' be out of true is because the oil seal has failed after only 3000 miles and I'm a pedantic bugger when I draw the crank through the seal and bearing so I'm sure it went it without damaging the seal and on dismantling the seal looks ok ?
