Re: BGM / RT 225CC KIT

replaced a rapido road 225 with the RT225 in my Jet 200, scootopia exhaust and 30mm delly , better all round than the rapido a bit more top end and doesn't use as much petrol. Not the performance I get from my RB but then it is more a touring set up. Might change the exhaust at some point but fed up...

Re: Starstream 2016

Sadly the big fella is no longer with us. He has left a lot of friends and of course family brokenhearted. He was a scooter fanatic and just recently returned from a 2 week tour of Italy. His funeral is on the 6th of Aug at Dunfermline crematorium and a ride-out will accompany him on his final journ...

Re: MOT Exemption from today

Thanks Cartmel , is strange though because I did my GP online today and it seems to have gone through and I never applied for historic with that one, better double check that it is in proper order.

Re: MOT Exemption from today

I have a jet 200 first registered Sept 2015 , I have just gone online and it still showing as needing an MOT and road tax, I can't proceed online because of this. Currently on sorn. Is this correct as I thought the rolling 40 years was an automatic update on their system

Re: eBay

It is starstream2016, he is also a great guy locally for fixing scooters ...again more through the love of doing it rather than money (although he does appreciate the odd bottle of Honey JD for payment)

Re: eBay

Mate of mine sells loads on e-bay. He buys engines/scooters/frames from Italy and breaks them selling all the decent stuff from sliding dog springs and ballbearings right through to frames. He does all the breaking , sorting , identifying parts and postage. His prices are very very reasonable (Frame...

Grimeca hidden semi hydraulic master cylinder

was wondering if these can be repaired, one I have has leaky seals, can this be done, who might do it or what the parts needed are? seems a shame to bin it for leaky seals as they ain't the cheapest.

Boyesen Reeds - where to Buy

Keep hearing about these, I have an RB225 with a 35mm TMX carb, I have never changed the reeds but have run the same ones for 5 years so thinking I might need to. Anyone got a direct link to what I need as looking online I'm not quite sure.

Re: 5 speed box fitting tips

Fixed. Ground off a little on the Stirrup/wishbone as recommended on here and changed from a GP end plate to an Li type , a channel had to be ground from the end plate as the 1st gear was catching when endplate tightened up and gearbox locking. This was done with a flap disk rather than a hard type ...

Re: 5 speed box fitting tips

What did you dremmel , how much etc? Did the MB wheel stop you jumping out of gear without modifying the sliding dog? Surely it will still hit if the travel is still the same inside the gearbox/casings to get 5th.
