Re: whats the verdict on 24mm PWK carbs ?

thank you Nick . so it looks like there are no real issues about connecting choke and throttle cables . you might have to reduce the size of the soldered nipples on the cables a bit with a file or emery to allow them to fit in the recess of slide and choke plunger and I had to make a new choke oute...

Re: Houston ....we have a problem ...

the larger blocks would have been fitted to your bike originaly. and allow the fittng of the usual carbs i.e 18/20/22 dellorto. the problem will be with the manifold if not original or more likely the barrel if it is one of those linered alloy indian jobs as they are known to have the inlet surface ...

Re: Kickstart bump fitting hints

with a pair of mole grips or similar I squeezed the end that gets inserted while turning it round a bit at a time which reduces the diameter and aids fitment. hot water will make it more pliable.

Re: Won't start from cold unless bump it.

I have been using these carbs for years and what I would say is can you definitely see the choke plunger moving? and when at rest I,e closed try and lift the outer out of the ferrule you will see how much slack is in the outer, they are too short for the inner on standard cable. you have a couple of...

Re: Size

just a point to consider, most of the supplied kits have flat or crosshead screws which you will never get a screwdriver on with the engine and tank fitted. I always buy separately m4 hex screws that enable my 1/4 inch socket to get on in situ. handy if you are having stator problems at side of road.
