The one I have I had to have machined down because it was too wide making the chain not run true. Worth checking.

I run a mildly tuned ;) Rb22 in my sprinter I did over 100 quarter mile runs last year with no problems. Theres something about a well used scooter that makes them so much cooler than a shiney showpiece. I know what you mean, I don't know if it's just the snetterton, but I love this. There are still a few of us keeping it real ;) nothing wrong with cast iron! nothing wrong at all, I love the sound mad...

Thats what I alway thought, but wouldn't a bigger front sprocket make the crown wheel spin faster?

A bigger front sprocket is meant to be kinder to the clutch....whys that then?
If it's to do with torque and stuff is there some formula that you can use, i.e work it out for any two sprockets?

I wouldn't rely on them always being the size advertised. I went through a box of them recently, all apparently the same size, but when measured they were all different. If you are after a perfect fit I'd go to your local dealer with your measuring stick and measure each one until you find the one y...
