Re: How to remove speedo drive if nut is burred
Mole grips are just ripping the soft brass to bits. It's jammed so tight I think the resistance is always going to be greater than the force the nut can take. Ive been trying heat as well from the start Last desperate idea is to run a drill down the centre and hope that I can weaken it enough before...

Re: Engine case bead blasting BUT NOT bead blasting
Sounds like a ball polished finish? Here it is on an alloy wheel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZ97eFP4tVs Could have been, I know there were vats involved and it took a long time. Should have paid more attention at the time to the long winded explanation the guy offered but I was on my lunch br...

The process made the casing all shiney and also means oil does not sink into the casing so it retains its finish. I want to describe this on my agreed value form that my insurance company wants m...

No need for spring compressor but this side the link comes forward by about a cm but then stops. I've got the spring compressor fitted but also checked its not the wind in bolts from that c...

Re: Bad fuel disposal
So I finally got a chance to swap the remaining old fuel for fresh today. Before I did so I tried starting the scoot. Dead as a do do. New fuel and it started second kick and was fine for about 5 minutes standing on its stand. I have no idea what causes fuel to degrade so quickly now-a-days rather t...

GP headlight glass options
The arm of my current headlight has snapped off and become lost so I'm looking for a replacement (unless anyone has some bright ideas as how to repair it!) Looking at the Casa ones via MB vs the Scooter Restorations item there is a quite large price difference Any reason why not to go for the SR one...
