Re: Anti dive for spauq

Is the above comment for me Minority. You may be correct. But to be honest I do not know either way. In the end i just followed the advice given to me by Rayspeed. Maybe i should of persevered with the anti dive. But i just figured they know more than i do, it was a problem for me they solved. I ju...

Re: Anti dive for spauq

In my experience antidive has no or very little effect on suspension. It’s whole point is to isolate braking force from suspension movement so there is no interaction between the two. To achieve this the caliper mount must be free to rotate around the axle independently and both ends of the tie bar ...

Re: Anti dive for spauq

As Holty said, what was the exact problem? Fitting antidive to my scootRS (very similar to the SPAQ) made a huge difference for the better!

Re: Anti dive for spauq

Hello, I thought the whole point of an anti-dive kit was to allow the brake back plate to be independent of the fork links. From my experience an anti-dive doesn't use the lug or stud fixing on either type of fork links, instead it is braced to the fork leg by a link rod. This is just my thoughts, ...

Re: BGM front dampers, too short....

You could check you have the fat lower bump stop if its not new ,there are different sizes about ,or not 100% ideal but a thin packer between the fork and bump stop would move the link up relative to damper bracket you might need slightly longer bolts. Yes I have brand new thick bump stop. Don't re...

Re: GT186 manifold - carb fouling engine mount

I love the TM24, as it is such a responsive little carb, and wanted it on the GT186. I have another GT186 with 115 conrod and 8mm packer. Does anyone think this would allow it to clear the mount? I agree. It's a fantastic little carb, and far superior to the PHBL. An 8mm packer might give it suffic...

Re: BGM 225 is it plug and play?

I’ve fitted a couple and about as near to “plug and play” that you’ll get. Very good fitting instructions and plenty of jetting advice available. It’s the ancillaries ( carb, manifold, exhaust) that will determine if you need to modify the cowling, but it’s just a bit of trimming in these areas (the...

Re: Avanti Upgrade

I fitted one of Ron's 70mm Mitaka pistons to my Rapido. When I fitted a reed valve to the Rapido I cut the hole and skirt the same as his TS1 version and it was fine. The ring pegs also allowed me to cut a boost port.

Re: Finally have the LiS 185cc running ok

Glad you are out and about now and I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but I've jut stripped down a 225 version after about 450 miles and it had a ring gap of 1.3mm! It looks to be a combination of ring and bore wear so you may have to keep a check on yours.
