Re: A flywheel question

I've had all kinds of trouble with this. On my GP I resprayed the flywheel cowl and it was looking great, then I forgot to Loctite one of the screws which fell out on the motorway. The cowl then skewed and started scraping on the fins. Terrible noise and it burnt all my lovely paint off in a neat cr...

Looking really good! I only did one round of filling/flatting with my cutdown and it shows through the paint, you must be very patient. How did you get the flared edges on the side panels? They look great.

Re: Brake Pedal Circlip Not Holding

Yes of course. I'll call a friend with a wee mig. I'm going to have to get one. Been meaning to for years I got a small gasless mig in the summer second hand and can recommend them. With a bit of practice you can get a really good looking weld. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs389.snc4...

Re: What Pipe Is This?

Reminds me of an after market Spanish pipe that was on my cutdown when I bought it. It also attached to the mag housing but after it fell off twice I took it off. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs405.ash2/68320_450144269042_819159042_5119789_109735_n.jpg They do fill up that boring gap ...

You can convert them from later to the older type :-

But it's a one-way alteration.

Re: Quick Action Throttle

Hi Fellas A quick update on this. Throttle arrived from eBay UK in 36 hours but I've had a terrible time with extra long throttle cables. Two have come from eBay without the small nipple at the carb end. Finally I got some tiny solderless nipples from Welsh Scooter Parts but I'd prefer to have a pro...

Re: Quick Action Throttle

What about trying one of these: http://scooterotica.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11441 That looks like a good solution for a standard full body scoot where you want to preserve the original lines. I'm not bothered about looks in this case. In fact the sillier the better :) its only the throttl...

Re: Quick Action Throttle

How do they actually fit? Do I need to somehow fix the existing throttle in place (bolt, weld?) and the new throttle goes over the top? There is a great looking Tommaselli throttle on eBay for 7/8" bars. Just measured the current GP throttle and the outer diameter is 25mm which looks about the ...
