Re: My 2 winter models.

Pretty bog standard ts1 Paul. I like the standard green one the best though.
I meant to post in the " show your series 2 eibars", can someone move it over? Thanks.

6 volt coil testing.

Apart from actually trying them on an engine, are there any tests that can be done on original type 6 volt ht coils to check if ok? I've got an ohm's meter, or is something else like a megger required?
Thanks.

Re: Rear shock oil.

Thanks for the replies.Tried 7.5 wt in one last year and it was definately too thin.
Haven't sourced the seals yet, but they don't look anything special. I'll have another go next week and let you know how I get on.
Thanks again.

Rear shock oil.

Anyone know the correct weight oil for a rear shock (series 2/3). Stripped a couple of original ones and they should rebuild ok.
Thanks.

Nu205/2205

I've been told that you can use the wider nu2205 mag side bearing without issue on an li/sx type crank (obviously also not using the mag housing spacer ring). Is this right? Anyone doing this as the wider bearing has to be better.
Thanks.

Piston rings

I need to buy some 57mm x 2.5mm piston rings for my standard Spanish series 2. 1964 winter still on original bore. Do I need to worry about quality, or are they much the same. Any recommendations as to where to buy from.
Thanks.

Lammy chaincase gaskets

What are the best series 123 chaincase gaskets people are using? Don't know about the cork ones, but the green (mec?) ones used in the past seem very good. The grey (graphite?) ones don't seem to seal very well.
Thanks.
