Re: Broken fin on ts1
I thought she was abit harsh saying it was scrap, after all if they can replace a spigot then a fin is an easy job. I'm not getting it done till the winter any way.

Re: Broken fin on ts1
Spoke to a very helpful lady at langcourts (boy did she know her stuff! :o sexist remark sorry  ) They have to assess each barrel individually where damage is concerned. When I told them part of top fin was lost she said probably scrap, I replied it was discounted ts1 barrel "oh another o...

I've finally got hold of a second hand ts1 barrel, going to run it till end of the year then get it replated over winter. What I'd like to find out is if Langcourts are able to replace a small section of the top fin that has broken off at some time? It's only a small bit but if I'm getting it recond...

Re: stainless floor runners on a series 3
I've had a closer look at the stud, it turns out to be bolt brazed into the inner section of the stainless outer runner (which is hollow) I dont suppose the thickness of the rubber will make any difference to the gap between the running board and bottom edge of the panel. Thank for all your help.

Re: Bleeding Brakes
My RS brake was a real pain. I tried the usual way, open the nipple pump lever close nipple release lever... no good. Then I tried reverse filling through the nipple... no good. As a last resort I had to slighty open the nipple topped up resovior and let it gravity fill for a couple of day, it took ...

stainless floor runners on a series 3
I've just tried to fit stainless runners to my Li special. On the rear runners the back threaded fixing on the out strips that bolt through the rear strut frame seem too short to fit the rubber grommet, go through the strut and then a flat washer and spring washer then be able to get a nut on. Is th...

GP crankshaft that will take 18mm pin?
Hiya, I can get a crank split and re assembled locally but these guys are only familiar with motocrossers so I need to know exactly what parts to get for them to put together. I have been told a RD400 con rod is the one I want. Is this correct? What I'm aiming for is use indian webs with a rod lengt...
