Re: PX125 Stuck In Gear

To get the selector off, the engine really needs to be in 4th gear. Is the engine turning over, can you depress the kickstart lever, again remove the plug & you should be able to do it by hand. If its still under warranty, then I would contact them, any work you try may affect the warranty.

Re: Pinasco Rims

I know its not the answer, my powder shop guy says use nail polish on any chipped powder coat, the sooner the better.

Re: 305 engine

My thoughts are, this is what we can do & so will do a small production run. Eventually they will build a 250cc engine that will be more affordable and the various components will be up to the task and probably interchangeable with your current engine, Vespa that is.

Re: Moto Vespa (GS) Project

When you get the forks in and front disc unit fitted, I would also fit the engine and check for wheel alignment. You may need to use a GS160 rear wheel.

Re: Strange oil leak from casings????

Thats not good, my only explanation would be a hairline crack. If you can get it started let it sit on idle and watch that area, as the engine oil heats up it should started to seep out, it may take a few minutes. But lets hope for the best.

Re: Moto Vespa (GS) Project

Probably a long shot, but theres a guy in Aberdeen that has the red & silver GS that I built. I would look at about 5mm of space between the mudguard and the bracket on the forks, otherwise it may look strange. This is probably the best front disc set up. http://scooterotica.org/forum/viewtopic....

Re: Moto Vespa (GS) Project

"pack out" some gaps a little too in order to seat properly on the mudguard side fixing point...good 2cm away

No need to get too close, some plastic/rubber spacers may help as Im sure when braking, the mudguard rubbed against the shock.

Where are you 'grooveywordbender'

Re: Moto Vespa (GS) Project

I think the shock you want for this is the short Mallossi or BGM both expensive. There is another type of disc front end for this type of fork, Im sure Saigon scooters sell it. There is these guys, https://www.scooter-and-service.de/largeframe/brakes-wheels-suspension/forks http://www.saigonscooterc...
