You no longer need insurance elsewhere, I registered a lambretta last month and so did a mate. Neither were insured... RobD...did either your m...

Re: Temporary insurance to register import

Well, from personal experience I know that that isn't the case. Scroll down a little further and it says for imported vehicles over 10 years old to c...

Re: Registering a pre 1960l lambretta

Just done this, all you need is photocopies of both parts of driving license, dating cert cheque for £55 and v55 form. No mot or insurance required and they check the nova against the frame number so make sure you write it on the v55 EXACTLY asit appears on nova

Re: Sidecar gearing

If you're 2 up and with someone in the sidecar and just want to potter about then li125 will do that. I wanted to be able to go to a rally and keep up with the others in my club. As it turns out I could do but would be less frenetic with higher gearing.

Re: Sidecar gearing

I fitted a sidecar earlier this year and fitted the often recommended Li125 gearing at the same time. Too undergeared in my experience (GT186, MB clubman), I'll be upping the gearing over the winter, cruising at 50 and topping out 55ish (GPS) did my nut in. Haven't decided what I'll go too yet but a...

Re: gap between barrel and casing

Try fitting the barrel to the casing with no studs or piston fitted. If it doesn't seat home then the spigot on the barrel or mouth of the casing is likely to be warped.
