Re: Vega legshilds
Mine have a c shaped bracket welded to the inside of the legshields and a horizontal tube welded to the front of the head tube about 6 inches down from the top. The legs of the bracket are the same width apart as the length of the tube (+ a couple of mil) and then a long bolt goes through the bracke...

Re: Air Intake Question
You could build an airbox to act as a holmheltz resonator and if you got the size and shape right it would give you a small increase at one specific rpm but it would be a lot of work for a comparatively small gain. Some of the bigger bike manufacturers have designed airboxes along these lines to all...

Re: koso egt
Get a 9v PP3 battery box from maplins, they're £1.99 and have a little on/off switch built in. Connect it up to the power feed to the koso and you're away. Koso do sell one but it's almost exactly the same. I fitted some velcro to the battery box and stick it next to the gauge. I also put a blob of...

Re: Rimini 5 speed box
I had one of Tinos 5 speed boxes in my scoot for a short time before the kickstart teeth started to chip and I removed it. I kept the sprockets the same so that it wasn't any higher geared. It obviously had no real performance improvement but it did make it lovely to ride. Difficult to describe why ...

Re: imola piston is this right??
One thing to note is that Tino's barrels and pistons might be graded like TS1's A,B,C etc. If so you might want to check yours as I'd hope that someone didn't buy that piston specifically for that barrel

Re: imola piston is this right??
That would depend if it strays into any ports on it's travels. Can't you assemble the top end and check? If not then I would have thought you'd be safe to cut out the windows and use as is. If it does you could get the hole welded up, no need to go all the way to the bore face, just make it gas tigh...
