If your in Wakefield come and have a pint or two in my bar - Elliotts Barhendy wrote:well I'm on the lash a few miles away the night before, so I'm going to go just because I'm in the area.
Does anyone know what time it starts? Information seems thin on the ground.

Re: Rear hub bearing.....which one?
A tiny amount of play is normal, and if you can't see the wheel move then there's nothing to worry about.

Re: NEW STRENGTHENED LAYSHAFT
Only way would be to x-ray a cross sample of new and old parts and subject layshafts to destructive testing. Boasting that this or that layshaft is the strongest or better hardened would then be backed up scientifically. Other than that consider changing half century old layshafts to something newer...

Re: NEW STRENGTHENED LAYSHAFT
most plausible answer is probably metal fatigue. Given Innocenti layshafts are 42 years old at best they'd be at the end of their lives if they had a fatigue index like an aircraft.
I've used SIL with no problems and I've an MB one in now but i found that incredibly tight in the bearing.

Re: GP front mudguard on an Li
It'll fit with the Li horncast, its only the same as changing the Li's 'duck beak' to an SX mudguard which we used to do to make Servetas look like SX's.
You'll need to change the mudguard gaskets though as their a different shape on the SX/ GP mudguard.

It can be done but you need to SORN it as soon as you receive your V5.
You'll need; dating cert, MOT, NOVA V55/5 and fee.

Re: GP rear light housing
The best I've seen for adapting is the Italian Bosatta rear light units but they all need some butchery to a degree and the LED panel sticking to the inside of the light housing with silicone but once the lens is attached no-one will see anything.

Re: Lambertta Colour?
It may be an idea to take the toolbox lock off and look underneath it as the person carrying out its last respray seems to have left the lock in situ. It could be original colour underneath.

Re: Lambertta Colour?
Bristolmods got the only surefire way of finding a clue - you need to look where blasting & resprays are unlikely to have touched it - inside the frame headstock and in the engine mount tube on the frame are a couple more places to investigate.
