I used a breathsweet on my series 2 but found it knocked on the tank and eventually the filter came away from the rubber bellows. It also collected fuel at traffic lights and bogged down. I've now got a Marchald small short foam filter from MB's and that fixes directly onto the carb (PWK 28), loads ...

There's the same question over on the lcgb forum and still no consensus over which is the best smallblock kit available. Each has its fans. If i were sticking to the original question i'd go with the rt195 simply because if i needed help or spare parts MB are in this country and at the end of a phone.

Technically your right Chris but using bolts reduces the number of parts that can come loose and go on a tour of the gearbox.

Now that would be an interesting (not all together scientific ) exercise and it would be good to see any results you've kept. If you got it 8 years ago it'll be something from the far east, do yourself a favour and get one from Scootopia, their stuff's generally better than Casa in my opinion and fits.

I had to cut the big lip off my nearside rear footboard too when fitting a Franspeed series 2 expansion.
