Must be just softer compound. Brakes work the same as last shoes. Not great. My brake cam looks fitted correctly. From stickys book, mine is the last one on the right in photo, offset Servetta. If there is an issue I have fitted cam wrong way round. What would be the symptom. Would it just jam up ?

From nice shiny new restoration. Ten miles to mot station. On the ramp it was mentioned about the amount of dust from inspector . Rims gone from white to grey.

Scootopia own brand. Don't say asbestos ! I was under the impression it is banned on new shoes, nowadays. Been brushing, wiping it off.

Brake shoe dust
I fitted a pair of new shoes to rear . Seems to kick out excessive amount of dust . Heavy layer of dust showing around hub area and rims. Is this normal for some brands of shoes ? Rear brakes work, but not great, never has been. No stopping power from rear alone, without the help of front brake use....

Is your choke cable right length for carb fitted ?

I take it you have tried simply tinkering with needle heights on BOTH carbs.

Split in carb rubber mount if fitted.
