I'm not sure I'd bother to go any bigger than a 24mm. The airbox is too restictive for anything much more.

I run a Mikuni 24 with a foam airfilter; goes well, doesn't guzzle fuel and starts easily.

Top tip for anyone wanting a new face for their original speedo. Cam Lam sell them for 20 quid but you can buy a (probably rubbish) complete speedo off ebay for a tenner. Just take the face out of the cheapo one and stick it in the original.

simon, can you tell me what the difference is between powder coat and a respray. Like you i want to go for a white. Is powder coat more hard wearing and does it produce as good a finish as paint? The horncasting is always a b@5t@rd as its ally and the steel screws react with it. I usually end up having to drill the buggers out and re-tap the holes
