Another one using the Reedspeed 5 plate with Granturismo springs in 2 of my Lambrettas, no slip issues so far

Re: Anyone gone from a Ram Air to a Breathe Sweet....
Be really careful in jetting when going to breathe-sweet because the elbow actually speeds up airflow to the carb compared to a straight foam filter. In our experience on the dyno the engine often makes more power with a breathe sweet but also needs bigger/different jetting to suit as well. I'm goi...

Re: Anyone gone from a Ram Air to a Breathe Sweet....
I've been considering the same change on one of mine and also putting a breath sweet on a currently open mouthed carb, guess it will involve a new round of plug chops I run a breathe sweet (GT186/30phbh) and haven't changed the jetting and would say it makes either a minuscule or no difference to a...

Re: Wassel battery
I'm using an alarm battery on my API, it doesn't have a battery tray so is sitting between the rear mudguard and frame loop. Been in there for about 4 years and hasn't run flat yet.

Re: GT186 gearing opinion
I was running Li150 17/46 with my GT186 (60/110 crank)/30mm Delly/Fran Race but found it struggled to pull the gearing a little so changed to 16/46 which is much better.
My GT200 kit with 30mm Delly and BGM Clubman pulls Li150 17/46 gearing no problem

Re: Best coating for new exhaust?
I had my BGM clubman Cermakromed by Camcoat couple of years back, very pleased and holding out well as you would expect, will almost certainly last longer than the exhaust itself! Turn around was around 2 weeks iirc. I did have a small delay when I noticed that the manifold wasn't returned with the ...

Re: small block kit advice
Thanks for the replies. I am just after a standardish kit for a bit of a runaround, as I am in jersey its just for short trips 1 up, got standard gp200 gearing with 22mm carb and a mbbgm clubman. Don't really want to go reed valve or big carb as I also have an rb22, just want something to putt arou...

Re: Lambretta water cooled engine at Mersea
How many are on the road, what is the reliability like, what about availability and price of spares. £9.6k inc VAT is a hell of a lot of money for something that produces less power than most kits out there.

Re: Lambretta water cooled engine at Mersea
I binned my leaflet, looked like a nice piece of engineering but £8k for a 20 bhp engine, struggling to see where the market for this is?
