Tubeless rims, rubber type valve: WARNING...

I know this has cropped up before, with the valve coming away from the rubber grommet, but I would like to say do not use them at all (The original supplied type that comes already fitted to the rim). On the way to the IOW on Saturday I had the valve fail on the front wheel. I was off and me and sco...

Re: Help & Info

Question is..........how far do you want to go as regards any repair you want to carry out before calling in the recovery service?
Ive changed a crank and mag side bearing at a rally but I dont think i'd do it again! (And I had breakdown/recovery cover!)

Re: Agusto fried a CDI??

Just done 530 mile round trip to scarborough and scooter ran perfectly. RB22, augusto, franspeed tourer exhaust, 95 octane petrol at 2 per cent. Was not hanging around either. The longest stretch we rode non stop was 78 miles ( according to lambretta speedo ). Took just over an hour and burnt 12.5 l...

Re: Sparkplug problems............

The champion i've put in is a 3, equivalent to ngk 8. Will have to see how it goes. Must admit, the 9's seem to be failing after running around town, and I was in heavy stop start traffic on sunday when the 9 packed up.
I just want to be a bit more confident before riding to Scarborough next week!

Champion in it at the moment. 50 miles home from the Ace cafe and caning it all the way. Ran sweet as a nut. However plug very oily upon inspection the next day. Not started it since.
Ducatti cdi fitted, 800 miles ago.

Re: Sparkplug problems............

I'm wondering wether its an ignition problem now. Or am I starting to get paranoid! I seem to think this started after having the augusto fitted. Any body else experienced this after having augusto fitted?

Eibargum, Camel; thanks for the ideas. will give the nippon denso a go. Dont trust the NGKs any more! Dont fancy coming to a halt on the motorway on the way to Scarborough next week!

Sparkplug problems............

Yesterday, on the ride out to the Ace Cafe, my scoot died. Plug out and no spark. Now ive had this before so I did not even take the HT cap off to check the lead was sparking. I just changed the plug, 1st kick and it started. This is the third new plug in about 150 miles. Each time the plug stopped ...
