i have a gel pad that I used for Davos. Not bad and about a quarter of the price of an air hawk. 340 miles was the longest ride, about 9 hours, and whilst not 'comfortable', it was bearable. I have the gel type and for the money its not bad. Used it for the first time to Whitby and back: nearly 600 miles and although the numbness still occurred it didn't occur quite as quickly!
Having said that I think I'm going to get an Airhawk before Switzerland!

Mines been fine. Not loads of miles, probably about a thousand or so but thrashed on the motorway and round town with no ill effects. New SIL layshaft when fitted ; MB out of stock at the time. Confident enough to use it for Switzerland in June. ( Famous last words.................!! ) Its the lates...

After nearly 6000 miles on my engine i've finally got round to stripping the top end...........and all looks pretty good. Bore really not worn at all. No signs of heat even around the exhaust port. If i'm on a motorway and cruising for any length of time at high speed I always roll the throttle on and off so as to flood the engine with more fuel therefore aiding cooling. Not blown up my engine yet after 5 - 6000 miles ! I also ride covering the clutch even though its a nicasil lined barrel. I ...

I always used to fit Champion plugs, what is the N3 equivalent to, in NGK terms ? B8?

I had the same problem; BGM stator and NGK plugs.

Changed to Champion and have not had a problem since. Had the same plug in scooter for over 1100 miles now.
