I v'e spoken to Martin and his advice is to use extra washers on the plug, so i guess that's the problem sorted, as to how many i think probably 2 and remove the extra base gasket.

As funds are short i'm trying a little "tuning" work on my own so my question is this. From the photos below can i take anymore out of the bottom of the barrel to match the opening on the piston? Should i shape the opening to the full extent of the piston on both sides(carb and exhaust) or...
