Re: Best hydraulic disc brake.

Look at caspa2006 his looks nice but I`m not a lambretta expert. I know a few of the Liverpool lads have had the hidden type and have never heard of any problems. I guess its down to who fits the cylinder and brackets etc.

Re: Who is it that uses Grampian for conrod conversions?

I think you will find that grampians have done work for many of the dealers over the years, they will do what you ask. Their crank work is first class, but you do need to tell them if you want top quality parts fitted. But I have known them to supply cast rings for a yz 125 with disasterous results ...

Re: flywheel hell

The small amount of play is normal and if it was not there you would have worse problems once the engine warmed up.

I would think tarmac tickler was on the right track, the crank needs to be trued (not balanced). it should only cost a few quid

Re: Soppy idea or worth a punt

Come on gents keep it simple. you lock wire everything for formula 1,

Just use a flat washer a good split spring washer and torque it down, as J1MS said you can torque it after a warm up and a few hundred miles later.

keep it simple.

Re: Soppy idea or worth a punt

Sorry mate, but it just seems like more effort than gain.
I usually find that if the nuts are torqued down with decent washers they don`t come undone by accident.

Re: Tm identification

Sorry mate I do not recognise that carb, But the tm type of carbs go back at least 23 years (with the split body). My bike is fitted with tm28ss carbs and my opinion is that they are nasty carbs, their only good point is that they are light weight. given a choice I would go for amal 1st , then dello...
