Quattrini
Sorry to correct you but Tony's engine is not a M1XL its one of the early M1 X versions for the rotary valve engine. The port timings etc are all different. Yes it makes a lot of power but it is unrideable on the road as its purely a sprinter. Its power is only down to the time, money and considerab...

Re: Quatrinni MIXL
Not true! ! ! I've had a Quattrini M1XL on a large frame 1963 GL ( PX 125 engine casing ) for three years. You dont have to cut any framework at all and the best pipe to fit is the JL made RZ right hand not the Quattrini one as it provides as much power but more torque and lower down too. It is't ho...

Re: what kit to fit
I've got a Quattrini M1XL on a 63 GL that is 5 stone ( 70 lbs) lighter than a Lambretta . It would have to be a very highly modified TS1 to come close to beating it !

You need the tool but they don't cost much and like all tools you only buy them once but can use them over and over again

Re: Quattrinni
Just as a comparison I've got the M1XL reedvalve Quattrini 172 on a PX125 casing / RZ Mk1 righthand exhaust and 30mm BGM carb and after being set up and dynoed by Martin at Chiselspeed its in the mid 20s bhp achieved below 7,500rpm and 16 ft lbs torque ( All that on a 1963 GL frame giving the the sa...
