Re: mixing semi and fully synth oil?

no problems at all in mixing semi; fully synth or mineral. Back in the good old 1960's any old oil was used in the dispensers with no ill effect. I think some people may be getting the mixing of CRANKCASE oil confused with 2T oil. Chris Hi Chris....i do believe the only oil we couln`t mix in the `6...

Re: Which is the best standard looking exhaust?

I've just returned from a 500 mile round trip to the Dutch Lions / YSA run to Rotterdam which was brilliant (apart from torrential rain all the way back to calais) and discovered that my Ancillotti exhaust is not as durable as I'd hoped. http://www.frankphall.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/temp/exhaust.jpg W...

Re: The end of the Lambretta crank as we know it ???

Note that there is no pumping action from the crankcase. Isn't the "pump" defined by the piston moving to BDC with the inlet port closed - the pressure is higher below than above and so it's a pump.... I understand what you mean.........i was merely saying that most of the gas to be pumpe...

Re: The end of the Lambretta crank as we know it ???

This article is very interesting........it is a shame though that when some seem to disagree with one (but only as a discussion)then the other takes umbrage and then say`s...it`s "not for you, but us".. :( .....also i don`t think some folks are confused as the ones answering replies are we...

Re: The end of the Lambretta crank as we know it ???

......i am no tuning expert, but the "old school" way in the `60`s was higher primary compression as the design of exhaust pipe did not do much from the reverse exhaust wave point of view in packing some unburnt gases back in the combustion chamber and charging it to a higher degree......n...
