I think your problem is the BGM piston has a higher crown than the original Meteor piston. Your head may need machining to match the new piston

you can get the black solid float for the PHBH this should solve your problems with ethanol

SIP rims, although you do have to change the studs which can be a pain. Hagon rear shock, simple and good value

Halite washers do vary, had one that was too thick, crank wouldn't turn, replaced it with thinner one all OK

Flywheel wont pull it over as crank tightens against drive side bearing. Have you tried piston round tother way to see if bearing cutout is central?

For the electrics best stuff is Isopropyl Alcohol, spray on blow off with airline. Leaves no residue

I was running a copy taffy pipe on my ts230 until recently. Have now fitted an AF NK tour/road pipe, it has transformed the bike. Fitted easy, running 4.7 final drive and it pulls like a train
