Re: reprofile cylinder head for t5 to 172
20 years ago, my friends father turned out my T5 head, as it was centre plug, he put an old plug in then nipped it up in his lathe, then took a couple of mm from the sealing face to ensure it cleared the piston. Worked perfectly.

Smooth delivery, what spec motor is this on ?
Any pics of the exhaust available, would love to see back to back runs with std box, and JL, Taffy, or Simonini....

Re: schwable pacemans
Has anybody had these or know how theyre like? Got them on my gp. Love them, but I'm a fair weather rider so can only vouch for their dry performance. But lammie grinds out both sides with confidence on them. I would have them again, and bought a couple to keep to hand in the garage. They are soft ...

Re: Packing plates
Think I know where you're coming from. Your cranks stroke is made up from 30mm below centre/axis and 30mm above, i.e 60mm stroke, so piston will go 1mm further out than before, and 1mm further into the crankcase mouth. so..the baic answer to our queston is a 1mm packer. however, 1mm is small, and yo...
