Re: PHBH slides, 40 and 50, which is leaner and richer?

50 is leaner than 40, the larger the number the higher the height of the front cutaway which allows more air in, therefore leaner

Re: Tyre choice?

You've checked the obvious things like no play (or very little) in your rear hub? You should be able to take both hands of your handlebars and the scooter still rides straight, if it pitches to one side then there's definitely something wrong somewhere!

Re: Which Exhaust,Carb set up

Scootopia 22mm carb and a decent clubman would do the job...most expansions deliver their power high up the rev range rather than low down which from what you are describing is what you need.

Re: Lambretta carb keeps popping off

Are you sure there isn't a groove on the manifold? I'm running a GT200 (and a GT186 for that matter) with PHBH30 and the GT manifolds and they both have the groove. I use the MB grooved rubbers and only time I've had an issue with carb coming off has been down to user error, i.e. not tightening the ...

Re: GT186 Exhaust options.

No experience of the Scootopia pipe but I am running the BGM (v2) with my GT200 kit and very pleased with it. nice smooth power delivery, pulls 17/46 Li 150 gearing too

Re: GT 186 kit where from?

Gransport Scooters used to stock them but as we know recently closed down. Easy enough just to email Rich, he replies fairly promptly then just a case of transferring the money when you can and he'll send the kit out. Bought a few bits including 2 kits direct from him and not had any issues....plus ...
