Handling Series 1&2
I have never had a tuned engine in a Series 1 or 2 but thinking of putting a Quattrini in a Series 1, with a front disc brake etc. Question is how do thy handle with a tuned engine in? The bars seem wider and of course they are heavier but this many be an advantage?

Re: Gori 200 jetting problems
Also running a 22 Jetex on a small block conversion with a drilled air box. I ended up with a 130 main. I found a Trail Tech temp gauge a great help for jetting. I put the lead onto the cowling bolt, over 78c it was getting too hot. Now it’s jetted right I can comfortably ride full throttle and keep...

Re: Piston query
Unless Rapidos have got better, the piston bore clearance used to be inconsistent and you need to check it before installing.

Re: Mag Housing to Flywheel
The problem was the inner middle hole of the stator was slightly too small and therefore it was tightening onto the outer boss of the flywheel. Wasted hours on this problem. The stator was painted grey and a cheap Ebay Special

Re: Name change- British Lambretta Owners Association Club
Glad I have a day job to take my mind off Scootering. Lots if seriousness here but it’s only a damn hobby. Good luck to Gav with his new club, why not. Same to the LCGB, maybe not perfect but what is.

Re: Mag Housing to Flywheel
Sussed it. Stator too big but I haven’t looked at it in detail to see where is was catching. Anyway, new stator on and alls okay.

Re: Mag Housing to Flywheel
I tried different stators and flywheels without any luck, so I put on an old GP points set up and it went on okay. I also noticed the timing marks on this odd mag housing were at 7 o’clock rather than the normal 12 o’clock position. I have messed with scoots and electronic set ups for years and neve...

Re: Running a suzuki 190 kit on a 22mm carb
Ended up going to 128 then 130 main jet on a longer run. I have found that running standard 20mm and 22mm carbs on small block ‘175’ kits, the main jetting can go high, 20mm I have had 116 main jet and this 22mm up to 130. Seems strange when you think of SX200’s 20mm carbs having main jet of 103 and...

Mag Housing to Flywheel
Just tried to put in an electronic kit onto a Li125 Series 3 and putting on the flywheel it seemed to get too tight and locked the crank, tried another flywheel and the same thing, first time I’ve had this problem. The mag housing has an internal lip where it might be catching, I checked another ser...
