Dudes.......like chill out man.
I presume (possibly incorrectly) that this is irony and as such would demonstrate that we have indeed moved on from the previously mentioned decades.
Remember the outrage caused by the 'aids' edition of brass eye?

Re: wrong headset?
Thanks, but no, I got it from Cambridge. I now think this may be a tolerance stacking issue. I had problems driving my chrome ring in and seem to remember that the grub screw was at the upper end of where it needs to be. I didn't clean the paint of the forks before driving the lower race on. I didn'...

Re: wrong headset?
Should be about three mm from base to lock hole.so your headset looks like it is a chrome ring type. However the chrome ring was discontinued before the lis125 came into production.i.e.From October 1965 the chrome ring was not used, production of lis125 only began in Oct.65. Well spotted, it's a pret...

wrong headset?
just trying to fit a headset to the li125 special I'm building but have run into problems. I have a chrome ring frame and this headset is brand new (in other words never on any frame before). I'm wondering if I've been supplied with the wrong headset and this is actually a non-chrome ring one. It is...

Re: Disc brake woes
Braided hoses? Pah! They're fashionable. Go for a test ride on a kawasaki zx6r and try the brakes. You'll find them more than adequate even though they have around 4 times the length of rubber hose a lambretta has. Often fitting them 'fixes' issues but in truth the fix was the bleeding or correctly ...

Re: Here we go again! Kickstart piston with pictures!
I fitted new kickstart mechanism recently and the slot in the arm was tight at the bottom end.
Obviously I just fettled it a wee bit and it was fine.
Sorry for not mentioning earlier but I'd forgotten until you mentioned this.

Re: Fixing kits
Very true, but if like me your time is more precious than the £40 that you'll save buying the fasteners 4 or 5 at a time, plus the petrol costs of going back and forth for the ones you forgot, then they can make sense. Depends on your situation; if I were retired, then I'd buy individually. You pays...
