Don't think the float is holed but good suggestion
Make a note of the seat size. Often sold as a set of: seat, needle and fibre washer.

Yes there is a difference. PHBH type have needles matched to the valve seat size. Various valve seat sizes are available.

Float needle valve leaking in carb or float stuck. If it has a black tip it's possible been eaten by ethanol content in modern fuel. Red-tipped (viton) ones are better.

£9.99 at Aldi, just as good. I use the Aldi ones as well - top value. Problem with end-opening ones is that you can never find anything without emptying the whole bag. These side-opening ones are a lot more practical to access and easier to store stuff in temporarily (like thermal jacket liners) wh...
