How much air / pressure are you pumping in ? It should only be about 8psi , too much pressure and any seal will leak .

I take it you have the electrex flywheel as well ? Early ones need a different cdi to the "normal" vespa type . There are at least two to my knowledge, a black "master igniter" abd a red one which loots the same as an "auto" one. Ive been told they can be altered to us ...

i had a similar thing a few weeks ago ? I swapped the engine internal from one engine to another case, the donor case had been stripped of its original internals by myself a few months before. But when i tightened the endplate up, the gear box locked up ?? so by a process of elimination , ie taking ...

Sound like you haven't pulled the layshaft through full , it may be stuck on the o ring ?
The rear hub bearing wount be 5mm out ! Im sure you would /should of noticed that much .

koso do a small rectifier , ive used one in the past and velcroed it to the inside of my headset
