Rapido 225 , 30mm Mikuni, jl3, agusto 6000,vapor cut under plug gives me between 170 and 190 @60mph (GPs) I did see it rise to over 200 after a fill up recently then drop back to normal after the next fill up though ....

Just posted on lcgb: Pretty sure they're not waterproof, I think if yours in the picture you're going to have to notch the headset top slightly and put the connectors inside, it'll make a neat job of it, I mounted mine on my toolbox top and put the connectors inside: http://i72.photobucket.com/album...

Never done it myself but I believe you set the engine to a fast tickover and then spray plus gas or similar around where you'd normally expect a leak and see if the revs rise significantly

What have you to lose by cleaning the barrel and piston up and using it? You may spend money on a new piston and replate and find another as yet unknown problem may cause more damage. That piston looks fine, a good clean up, bit of cross hatching with a junior hacksaw to retain oil and go for it mat...
