Re: BGM FLYWHEEL
Not using with an AF stator... but... never just a straight swap. Timing will be different. You have to guess the timing on the bgm, strobe and adjust accordingly. Also, there is no cover for the flywheel nut or the thread from the flywheel extraction tool, and I it gets covered in crud... pain in t...

Worth downloading and keeping for future reference... Page 72 onwards deals with setting up your carb and what jets etc are at play and when.
Check the basics first too... have you got an airleak somewhere?

Re: Recommended gp chain tensioner
recently tried the GT tensioner, but the sliding bolts at the back caught on the casing, and couldnt loctite the main bolts in position at the beginning. But a good value piece of kit... Jockeys Boxenstop pull down tensioner has to be my favourite though; although if you are using a slightly longer ...

Pinking "as a result of a lean mixture" can sound like metallic rattling... complete your leak test before you hole a piston... Whats your plug look like?

Re: Polished casing
As Paul points out the act of polishing the case doesnt leave a "key" for the Lacquer to stick to. It will eventually chip and start peeling off

Re: Gori GP50 or JL Snail ?
There are a number of different snail pipes out there to suit different types of tune.... Jl3, Jl4, Gianelli, Casa, Soulsnake etc Each has their own benefits... Personally I have JL3 curly's on 3 of my scoots and love the way it pulls. It does not quite have the same low down grunt as a BGM clubman,...

Re: R1 Shock, Any good??
Great shock.. I found it worked very well...
however the normal mounting method on a Lambretta means that oil seal for the unit is facing upwards and dirt settles on it and will cause an oil leak and the end of the shock or an expensive rebuild.

Re: backfiring.
I've had pickups fail on 2 BGM stators giving funny results... Replaced them with Ducati pickups (easy change 1 screw and 1 soldered connection) and all good since then.10 inch Terror wrote: It was supposed to be supplied with a BGM, or similar quality stator. .
