Re: Plug check please..

one side faces the piston the other faces the head when tightened up; differing temperatures allow the burn to ignite more one side of the plug than on the other; if you mark the rich side of the plug you will most likely find it's the side nearest the piston; that's when it's bolted up tight; i was...

Re: Clubman pipes - Again

short header pipe helps it rev; shallow long front cone spreads power; that's what I was reliably informed; but what's inside the box is still a mystery to me,

Re: Vespa 210 reed valve problem

If it's over rich it will start to pick up just as the fuel level drops in the float bowl; this could point you in the direction of it being over-jetted; probably best to run it to the point it misfires and keep it at that throttle opening turn fuel off and then it should clear and accelerate as the...

Re: ts1- clubman exhaust

if we didn't try these sort of things out then we could never compare; I ran one on a box pipe it was ok; power was good but not as good as an expansion chamber; genuine 70 on a 44mm pipe and 30 Amal.

Re: No power??

use a dummy tank without a filter to supply clean fuel and see how that works;
If all fails just pour the remaining fuel over scooter light it and stand well back,

Re: No power??

Divide circumference of flywheel in mm by 360; each single degree will equal (x)mm so how many times does that figure (x)mm go into 30; This will give you a measurement in degrees from your original 30mm timing measurement.

Re: Rapido 250 cylinder reed valved with triple boost port..

Could you do this to a piston port rapido 250; cutting holes high up in the piston to feed the extra ports so not cutting the ports right back to the inlet; wouldn't this make it more peaky for sprinting and possibly quicker than with a reed fitted,

Why isn't it possible on a varitronic?
good question; why not?
wire and magnets make current; rectifier makes it dc; inbuilt regulator limits the voltage; so why cant it be done with a variatronic,
