I can recall reading somewhere that you shouldn't run downhill with a closed throttle due to possible seizure because of lack of fuel/lubrication in the cylinder.

Any truth in this?

I use standard petrol and standard two stroke oil in my Lammy, and the exhaust smells, well, normal.

The smell of the exhaust of some scooters reminds me of the smell at a speedway meeting.

What fuel/additive are they using and why?
