we will be jetting in Darrells RT250 on the mad mile after midday then going for some high speed tests

believe it is running 4.6 gearing, 30mm phbh, fancy clubman, 64mm stroke crank and 70mm piston

Sean - it should give 22 - 23ish hp but designed for touring really so should give plenty of grunt. 4.6.....thats impressive David, you got a rev counter fitted? what revs max power etc and does pipe start limiting bout 7500ish revs? hits 78mph all day and stops, so a bit under 7500rpm but that is ...

How heavy is the rider? a very light 16 stone, and its going in a series 2. :D :D a heavy 15 stone, S1 with taffy 30mm phbh with filter -1mm deck clearance, widened exhaust port, matched cases, 6.5 CCR, AF flywheel, currently running 4.6, simetimes think 4.4 would be better but like the way it pull...

never used one on a scoot, but when using on my van, I never get too hung up on the actual readings... as long as they are all about the same, and consistent with last time i checked I think that's fine. so maybe check the engines periodically and note any drop, suggesting further investigation req...

Compression testers

playing around in the garage decided to have a try with a compression tester on a couple of scoots got readings of 110, 120 and 140 psi do these readings mean anything in the real world ie is the compression ratio too low on the scoot reading 110, do I need to run 98 octane on the one reading 140 ps...
