Re: PM Tuning headlamp?
The lens is plastic, so I wouldn't try it unless you'd like it to be the test subject. PM Tuning does say that halogens are no problem.

Re: What piston?
What size is the small end? The JetSki 440 tune is called, "Kawasaki 215", it's an American tune developed by Vince Mross. Also, MB has a piston that would suit as well. They have reed and piston port forged RaceTour pistons, look on the lambrettaspares page and on the left will be a rebui...

Re: BGM 60/110
These are hand built by Mark, you can also choose a 115 mm Yamaha rod. I noticed that short deck, 71 mm reed valve RaceTour piston are listed on the lambrettaspares site, but not currently in stock, maybe for those who prefer long conrods.

Re: gp headlight
As far as I know there aren't many aftermarket headlight lenses that are perfect Innocenti copies and they can vary in dimensions. Supposedly, Casa Lambretta ones are quite good, but I don't have any first hand information about that, yet. I'm also curious about these, sold by PM Tuning. They claim ...

Re: kytronic
In fact, you could choose your setting before setting off, depending on what kind of riding you will do. Choose a safer position for riding with your mates on slower scooters or in congested city riding, then something else for hooligan riding.

Re: kytronic
You should select the power curve that matches the power curve of your motor AND your style of riding. Get a rev counter and see what revs you cruise at. If there is a high load on the engine (45 mph and up) then make sure the timing is retarded just under where you cruise at. I don't cruise much on...

Re: Original Ducati light flywheel.
Looks nice. I have one (missing one fin) on my street racer, which is my daily rider, that I swapped out of my GP200 as I couldn't get a stable timing with the AFR light flywheel that it replaced. I also have a spare AF/Ducati flywheel and stator in perfect condition, that I had bought from eBay man...

Re: kytronic
As far as I know, the Kytronik Smart Booster advances the timing from 0 - 3,000 or 4,000 rpm, then retards from there depending on the curve chosen. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-c2worah6zMo/UlzcvjclcFI/AAAAAAAAAjM/mKFYVV7fxtQ/w1535-h486-no/SB2013.Curves.png Lots of info here: http://www.kytron...

Re: kytronic
Yes, they have very good instructions online and well selected ignition curves to suit most scooterists. There are even two of them, position 8 and position 9, that are for "street racer, Vespa or Lambretta, with ported cylinder kits and expansion exhuasts" to paraphrase them. MB also has ...

Re: Fuel cap issues.
That doesn't make sense as before ethanol was blended into petrol there were few fuel related problems with vintage vehicles. In the USA, problems due to ethanol in fuel have been well documented. Ethanol is highly reactive with many metals, plastics and rubber. This is beside the issue of attractin...
