Re: Gearbox Ratio Calculator

Thanks Avantone

Re: Using two regulators?

Going back to the 70's when we had no money I had 3 spots on my old 6 volt series 2. I had no battery It was cut out of the loom, the rectifier was buggered and the connection for all cables was a 10amp common lighting junction box. I had mates who had up to 6 spots, OK the more you had the dimmer t...

Re: running pathfinders without battery

I know this has been done to death now and a battery is probably the easiest route, but it will charge slower than it is used with 2 spots. If you connect the spots direct to the BGM without a regulator and the lights are on you should be OK till you turn the lights off. Thats when the regulator cut...

My guy was told that the sleeve was pinned in??? At the end of th...

Re: SR Barrel

I had an SR barrel bored out to 66mm, and it was fine. Only took it off after nearly 3000 miles to fit a Mugello. The problem may lie elsewhere. Apart from the din, does it run ok ? Yes but he is not brave enough to put in the miles. He found that his crank mag side bearing was shot with the inner ...

SR Barrel

Stupid question Guy at the club had said kit and dropped a ring that scored his barrel badly re board out 3 x over he says to clear the score Rebuilt but when its warms up sounds like the anvil chorus Been down the squish piston hitting the top, bottom, replaced his crank all bearings etc. no change...

Re: Speedo probs

Take the drive end off the wheel and put an electric drill on the square inner cable run the drill in reverse and your speedo should work. It helps if your drill has a variable speed on it but see if its stable like that If it is it could be the worm drive in the hub, mine had a worn flat on it that...

Re: Timing, Dial Gauge or Degree Disc

RinB If only my Physics teacher had taught us about gravitational pull using your avator, I may have taken more notice. As for TDC I have a 6inch nail in a roof joist in my shed. Crank in, the case put the flywheel on next and hang the hole thing up mark the magside casting and its done. I have neve...
