Re: Crikey its quiet in here ..iet in here...in here... here..

Personally, I think we've passed the high tide mark of the internet. There's a lot more business emphasis on website these days, and hosting a site is a lot more expensive and forces the owners to finance it to keep it going. The social media platforms are cheaper and easily accessible and all it c...

Re: Fascinating article on standard exhaust performance

Exactly the same here Johnny. Been looking for ages for something quieter, done loads of reading, listened to numerous sound clips on YouTube, and have decided to go back to standard, so just ordered a 'GP' one, made by Scootopia'. Going to take scoot out, hopefully this week, and give it some bean...

Re: Fascinating article on standard exhaust performance

By 'standard' do you mean a GP/dl exhaust without the mushroom baffle, as referenced in the article? Not all exhausts are created equal, and there are major differences throughout Innocenti production. For example, even a Series 2 TV exhaust is different to a Series 2 LI exhaust. https://live.stati...

Fascinating article on standard exhaust performance

I haven't bought Scootering for many months but today I came across their website and discovered this fascinating article about Clubman exhaust testing.. I bet you would be as stunned as I was to learn that a standard GP exhaust can out perform every other exhaust system tested up to 5000rpm ! yes I...

Re: Welcome to the 21st Century

Finally I've bit the bullet and swapped my trusty 22mm Dell'orto for a 25mm PHBL. I've always run standard carbs previously. But finally I fitted a kit that needs a bigger carb, and what a difference it makes. It just feels better all round. It remains to be seen if it is any less economical, but t...

Re: Tyre Choices

I've only used Mitchelin S1s on my Li150 and I have to say in the dry they stick like the proverbial to a blanket in the dry. That said I cannot speak for in the wet though as I don't even ride when its damp out there lol. Its just too much effort cleaning it drying it and keeping the surface rust a...
