piston advice

have a 63 tv175 needing a new piston but genuine tv pistons seem thin on the ground, i ordered a vertex off camlam but when it came it was a 3 ring piston{minus gugeon pin n rings!}, would i be better off with an indian made 2 ring or stick with this 3 ring, bikes more or less standard and i dont in...

thanks for the answers, but im not looking for a noisy rev monster, got one of those allready, the tv`s getting a rebore and whilst its apart i`m wanting to give it just a bit more umph without making it too loud or thirsty, and the price of genuine del orto`s is prohibitive, and jetex`s are shite.I...

old school tuning

want to pep up the performance of my standard tv175, am planning drilling through mushroom baffle in pipe, removing baffle from airbox and open out air scoop and getting the carb reamed out to 21.5mm as per performance tuning & conversions manual, anyone been down this road?

here`s the situation, ive got a gp with a jb tuned muggy 186, 28mm del orto breathing through a foam filter and out through a jl3 curly. It was dynoed at 17.4bhp at 6569rpm and 14.2 ft/lb @ 6280rpm, but i melted a piston almost imediately, so i retarded the ignition, up jetted and didnt ride it much...

i converted my series 1 to have a brake light using an original 3 bulb rubber mounted set up but noticed its melting the bottom of my lense where the clear section meets the red. Does anyone male led conversions for this type of rear light?

a standard gp200 puts out say 11bhp that will take it to 65mph, tune the same bike to 22bhp, double the horsepower and it may best 85mph, so a 35bhp engine should be enough to get near 100mph? no because the faster you go the harder it is to cut through the air. i would have thought it wouldnt be to...
