It does make quite a difference mostly to the handling of the scoot,,,,,,,the flip side is the comfort to the ride and keeping clean from flies in the summer,,,,,, I would say an advantage as opposed to disadvantage being you can loose upto 5mph. the old saying better to get their in comfort than no...

Nice scoot would be the perfect base for a cutdown project :D :D All those nice clean lines and smooth panels would really give you a good straight cut with the grinder :bouncing: :bouncing: As for the engine i agree its so original i,d keep it standard,,,,,,,,,,,,,cutdown chops are not very stable ...
