Re: Clutch won't disengage?
Thanks Sean for your reply. I bought the 5plate Surflex kit from Readspeed as an off the shelf item. Do I need to get thinner steels then - if so where from? When you say cut the crownwheel what do you mean ? Will I need to have it machined down to give the plates room to move? Sorry for all the que...

Re: Clutch won't disengage?
Its a GP clutch - I only removed the existing 4 plate and replaced with a 5 plate kit. Refitted as usual. Do I need to bend the ears of the lower plate upwards as has previously been mentioned to ease plate release? And I have read here that my have to change to an Li top plate as it's thinner? I di...

Why should this happen? - Do I need to modify the clutch basket to take the extra plate? Also will just the springs supplied with the plates surfice or do I f...

Re: PHBH 30mm on T5
Had similar problems when I fitted a PHBH on to a MMW2 reedblock on my T5. The carb works fine even thou at a slight angle, but I found that the vibration of the engine against the carb float body/cowling caused the body to wear thou causing a fuel leak - only minor. I eventually changed to a Koso 30...

Slipping Clutch?

I have a 4 plate clutch with px springs within the standard springs. The motor was dyno'd at 21hp with 16 lb torque - am I asking t...

Yep - signs of blowing on the base of the head, but also noticed what I believe to be gearbox oil seeping from around the flywheel?

Re: TS1 not running right?
Right - took the engine out of the bike today. Noticed that 4 cylinder head bolts didnt take much to undo with the socket. Removed the barrel and piston and rings ok. Base gasket seems ok - there is no head gasket fitted? - Is this ok? If this is ok , what do I seal the head with against the barrel ...
