Re: egt probe position

It does not have to be exactly 100mm, measure from piston to exhaust gasket face on cylinder then from exhaust gasket face on stub or exhaust, add thickness of gasket and mark the u bend. You create your own reference of the reads you get, if you get an air leak or so, you will notice a raise in tem...

Re: AF/KBA or MBD/BGM Exhaust

I can confirm that I have tried MANY exhausts with a standard gt186, standard port times with 58/107 and I liked the AF/KBA MUCH better than the BGM.

Re: TS1 bore wear

Yep it sure is Nelson, it's what I had back then. As you say it's up to personal preferences and I'm sure it depends on what your riding style is. Nowadays I like to ride long and fast and I try to convince myself with that type if riding it is better with a big lump that keeps an even temp, but I'm...

Re: TS1 bore wear

As you are saying its a bit irrelevant but gave me a clue back then how much heat goes up and down, the heat comes from somewhere right. Now there's all types of fancy pancy multi gauges for CHT and EGT and my novice theory's proved to be somewhat right, just saying.

Materials will start moving when loosing or gaining heat. All to their own but when I installed my first EGT gauge some 13 years ago on my Ts1 I d...

There are rumours of a new BGM MB Big Box v3 in the making, hope it performs better compared to the other boxes.

AF/KBA or MBD/BGM Exhaust

You should be able to order the sbox from Pipedesign in Germany, I hear they are made to order at just under €300. The mito box can be ordered from Mitolambretta and comes in reverse or the new v.3 with regular en pipe. All according to their FB page. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/12/10/b94c9...
