Re: 5 min removal of bearing race from crankshaft
I've removed dozens using that tool and no heat necessary, you have to make sure that the jaws line up with the edge of the bearing track.
There are 2 versions of the tool, one for GP cranks and one for Li / SX cranks.

Re: Had my engine case vapour blasted.
I've had quite a few cases done so far. Italian and Spanish ones come out great but Indian ones didn't due to the impurities in the metal. I've got a few more Italian and Spanish ones to do but in future I'll get Indian ones powder coated instead.

Re: port holes on mugello piston for reed value
I've a small block 198 phbh 30, I fitted an lth reed valve but didn't cut port holes, just doing a winter rebuild and was thinking of changing the piston to the Imola will it fit the 198 No, pretty sure the 198 Mugello uses a 66mm piston, the Imola is 64mm. RB20, 66mm piston, may work but needs a 1...

Re: SIP Two stroke oil
My memory (not the most efficient tool in the box) tells me that the auto stuff is thinner to work with autolube systems but is still fine to use in a pre-mix system like the Lambretta but not vice versa.

Re: A quick question about cranks....
Generally the better they are (reputation wise) the more work they'll have on and the longer they'll take to do the job. Most are usually honest in that department and won't take on your work if they already have a backlog, your job may only have 4 or 5 hours work needed on it but if you're no 20 on...

Re: Lambretta stainless stand
I bought a tsr one. Pretty good but definitely not perfect. It needed around 40mm taking off each leg and i had to use aluminium feet as the rubber ones wouldn't stay in place because there was no hole for the pin. Looking for one l don't have to mess with hendy , heard some are very hard to drill ...
