More likely the needle position if its boggy in mid range, try raising the needle a notch, if its worse drop it two notches.
Depending on your definition of boggy it can be rich or lean, but if you go richer first you won't seize it up.

Re: Clearance for 110 x 60 ???
I've just done 2 110x60 recently, the more expensive crank with the Yamaha rod didn't need the case modified but the slightly cheaper one did.
I did consider grinding the big end of the rod down a bit but decided it was made that size for a reason and got the casing machined out.

Re: Snake Head Carb tops
Had snake head on for about a week. Maybe 100 miles or so. Taken carb to bits and slide and spring are full of black plastic grinding bits. So whilst it solves one problem it creates another. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170402/a40be599075deb021edb5ba4b43931be.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn....

Snake Head Carb tops
Anyone used one? Any good or just another gimmick?
VHSH 30mm.
My carb is tilted so my long range tank fits but on full gas for any period of time it starts to starve itself. I either get tank modified or fit a snake head.

Re: Gori GP50 or JL Snail ?
Leo,I'm quite surprised it wouldn't pull that ratio on your Avanti especially your spec, what else has been done to it? I found it produced some very good torque.Ok,I'm running a Cyclone but even at about 50mph in 5th,it pulled like mad even two up but then my spec probably different to yours. It pu...
